The game is great, but it's heavily buggy, sometimes inspecting certain spots doesn't give you the designated item that it's meant to, it happened to me on the catacacombs and the beast's boss fight, I sometimes manage to pick up the item but after dying, I end up losing it and I can't pick it up again from where it was.
Also when leveling up, you lose all your Health Points after equipping/unequipping an armor, it is genuinely frustrating and there is a bare-bones work-around it.
I also found a massive bug that allows you to level up without having any points, it goes in the negatives and lets you have 99 points in any Attribute, all you need to do is click fast enough, which facilitates with an auto-clicker.
the github repository is very broken at the moment, im gonna be honest i had no clue what i was doing with github when i was making it, and I need to completely remake the repository.
the game is majestic, i cant say how much i like its desing, vibes and atmsmorphere. apart of that the gameplay lacks a litle bit and it has a problem in witch it lets you augment your stats at infinitun (realy just at 99 each) if you augment one by 1, then change the screen and then came back, then for some reason it lets you keep resting points from the same stat even if it gets to negative numbers, when sufficient points have been taken just change screen again and the numbers would regres to its original values at exception of your amount of free points who now exceeds 10000, then augment each stat at 99 (the "soft" limit and not hard because of the thing im gonna tell you), with each next level you will be able to agment by 1 point the stat who you use to make the bug so every stat will be 99 and that stat would be 99+Level-1
1. Saving does not work, when loading the game, the experience counter is reset, which is why killing any enemy brings a level. After loading, some items have icons of presence in the inventory, but they cannot be removed or equipped, or applied, which, as is clear from the comments below, breaks the game. All enemies and items are restored.
2. Any item can be given to all NPCs and enemies. This leads to the loss of the item forever, although its icon remains in the inventory.
3. If you give any item to a lone knight, his mace will appear in the inventory
Questions:
- Does it make sense to give or use items on NPCs? Or is all that can be done with them is to talk or attack?
- if you attack the statue in the right passage of the dungeon, a battle will begin, but for victory they do not give any experience, loot, or plot, is this ok?
I really like the look of this game. Everything about the atmosphere is wonderful, and really shows a level of admirable hard work. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get very far. It seems like after death the game isn't clearing the values it stored from previous plays. It tells me I'm already wearing armor when I try to equip some despite not putting any on. It worked the first playthrough. It also reloaded the first boss after I went back (not sure if that's intended, or not), and occasionally not giving me the bone crusher when going through. I really hope you get everything fixed in this, because I honestly think the game has so much potential.
I came across a bug: when I died, my stats didn't reset, but remained the same. Health, strength, and even damage. The equipment slots are empty, but when I tried to put on the frog knight armor, they told me that they were already on. When I tried to take it off, the game reported that there was nothing to take off. Also with the ring of a thousand eyes.
Maybe I didn't understand the mechanics of the game, but I felt it necessary to let you know.
this is a known bug, i'm going to try and fix this issue at some point in the future. Let me look into it to see if there's anything you can do in the mean time
im a native spanish speaker, if at any time you need help traslating it to that lenguage i will be more than pleased to help you seens i like your game
I'm stuck at the very beginning, I don't know what should I do, I look everywhere "nothing to note" I try to enter the crypt, "the path is blocked". What am I missing?
Edit: I'm done on the 'house without shadows' level now. But I can't seem to get past the beast, I used my bone fermenter to achieve 68 attack power, but the beast keeps on surviving. There's a bug, I can't get the shield of truth.

I am aware of these bugs and I am working on rewriting the games code, it's slow progress because I have a full time job.

browser version seems to work when I play it, but the PC port wont launch.

It may be an issue related to integrated graphics, I'm currently unsure of a fix for that at the moment so you may have to stick to the web version.

Yeah there are many bugs with saving, and i am currently quite busy irl so finding time to work on the game in a manner that it requires is hard.
Not all items should be able to be given to npcs, that is a bug.
Giving items to the npcs was based off of what happens in the book, you can give items/talk or attack.
The hidden statues are able to be attacked yes, but they don't give anything, that can be fixed in a future update.
If I can help with anything to speed up the process, write, I work in QA. Maybe a more detailed localization of defects will help.

yeah there is an issue with the internal structure of the game that makes fixing that bug hard to do. It is something I am working on when I can.
I hope you can fix it when you have time. I really enjoyed playing what I could of this game.

i seem to be stuck in flute wood forest and it says that the path to the house without windows is blocked.
i tried going back to the swamp but i couldn't and no key is working can someone help?
As i get it - you need to go around the forest and inspect stuff till you find the key.
I'm going to fix this in an update at some point, a lot of people seem to get lost at the key part, I'll fix it to where the beast will drop the key.

in order to move you have to type "go [direction you wish to go]"
So it'd look like "go outside", you can see all visible exits at the bottom of the rooms description
